A mei tai is a baby carrier (soft carrier) worn on two shoulders. It is usually made of a square of fabric with four long straps. Just as people come in all shapes and sizes, so there are many different types of mei tai. Some have padded straps, some have padded bodies. Some have headrests and some have adjustable seats.
